Cemetery Nusaybin
Bodies of 58 people killed in Mardin’s Nusaybin district are yet to be given to their families despite the fact that 9 months have passed since the curfew that was declared by the governorate in the district on March 14, 2016. Families of 83 people applied to Mardin Forensics Institution in order to retrieve their relatives’ bodies since the curfew was partially lifted on July 25, 2016.
The forensics institution identified the bodies of 25 people after DNA tests and delivered these bodies to the families. 58 bodies have not been identified yet despite the applications of their families. 23 of these bodies were buried in Urfa, 21 in Mardin, 6 in Amed, and 8 bodies are being held at the forensics institution in Istanbul.
Below are the names of the 25 people whose bodies have been identified and delivered to their families:
Sedat Kaya, Necmettin Doğan, Ayşe Karaca, Kajin Akçelik, Metin Ak, Emine Yaprak, Ali Aydemir, Ramazan Baloş, Ömer Kızgın, Yunus Aybak, Hüseyin Sakin, Mehmet Nasip Erdem, Sidar Ziyanek, Zamani Çomak, Barış Erdem, Kamil Kavak, Sabır Karakaya, Mehmet Şirin Saşmaz, Mehmet Pitik, Özgür Yıldırım, Şiyar Tarlak, Yunus Eliş, Mervan Baran, Zeki Adıyekem.
