Explanation:
The Kurdish mayors from south east Turkey who are working on a multi-linguistic base as representatives have more and more problems with the Turkish authorities. 56 mayors of DTP (Party for a Democratic Society) are threatened to be dismissed.
These mayors make an appeal to the European politicians for solidarity in order to push Turkey to respect freedom of speech and democracy. They hope their visit will create a co-operation with the European politicians to defend the elected Kurdish representatives.
