“Wilaya” is an Islamic term and means power, authority or some kind of right. That is the reason why researcher Mohammed Mostafa Hassan uses this term in the title for his recent report on the Al-Hole Camp in the Northeast of Syria. Hassan describes it as “the most dangerous camp in the world” or – in other words – as “the unannounced ISIS wilaya”.
The conclusion of Mohammed Hassan is quite clear: The camp is a ticking time bomb that might blow up any minute. The area might sink in a new terrorist wave. To solve this issue, all the countries need to gather and come up with a collective plan to solve this major crisis and end it once and for all.
