Our country suffers from a state of war provoked by Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s repressive power.
We, as citizens of Turkey abroad, always in solidarity with the struggle for democratization and peace in our country, support the call of January 11, 2016 by Academics for Peace Initiative for Peace and Negotiation.
We are on the side of the right to live.
We are on the side of equality and peace.
We refuse hindrance of freedom of expression and thought.
No ifs, no buts: We will not be a party to this crime!
We are on the side of the Initiative of Academics for Peace.
We strongly protest against all repressive measures aimed at academics who have signed the appeal for peace and negotiation and call all democratic forces of the world to show their solidarity with academics, journalists, writers and artists who resist.
