The presidential candidate of the HDP, Selahattin Demirtas, is to leave for Europe today for an election tour.
According to information from the BDP European office in Brussels, Selahattin Demirtas will meet with the people in 4 European cities and will also have various meetings.
Demirtas will speak at a rally in Basel in Switzerland today and then tomorrow, 18 July, will attend a rally in Paris. On 19 July he will be in Cologne in Germany and on 20 July in London.
Demirtas will fly to Zurich from Istanbul this morning, 17 July. Selahattin Demirtas will be accompanied by Eyüp Doru, the BDP European representative, during his visit. After meetings in Zurich, Demirtas will go to Basel and will attend a rally in the Claramatte Park which begins at 18:00.
Before the rally in Paris on 18 July, which will take place in the famous Place de la Republique at 18.30, Demirtas will answer questions from journalists between 14:00 and 15:00. Demirtas is also planning to meet friends of the Kurds while in Paris.
Demirtas will fly to Cologne the same evening at 21:30. The next morning, 19 July, he will meet the German press at a hotel between 10:30 and 12:00.
Between 13:00 and 18:00 Demirtas will speak at a rally in Neumarkt square in Cologne. After visiting the centre of the federation of Alevi associations in Europe between 18:00 and 21:00, Demirtas will appear live on Yol TV.
Early in the morning of 20 July, Demirtas will fly to the United Kingdom and attend a rally at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre in London at 13.00. Demirtas will return to Turkey on 21 July after completing his contacts in the United Kingdom.
