Yesterday night at about 9pm local time, a car-bomb was detonated at the Mermer Gendarmerie Station, located on the highway between the cities of Diyarbakir and Bingol.
After the bomb exploded a clash broke out between PKK fighters and the soldiers from the station that was partially demolished by the ferocity of the bomb. According to military sources, 3 soldiers died and 22 were left injured, however, the number is expected to rise as many of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.
