The authorities say he has been murdered by Salafists. Witnesses said this is not true, and that he was serving with his battalion on 30 September 2011.He is from Marabeh in al-Hassaka.
Ibrahim Mohammad al-Hossain also died whilst in service to the Syrian Army as a Sergeant.
