While the indefinite and non-alternate hunger strikes of the imprisoned Kurdish political prisoners, which were launched on 12 September to force the government to “instantly and without condition”
provide the circumstances of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s freedom, health and safety, lift the bans and obstacles over mother tongue and meet/respect the democratic rights of Kurdish people, are on the 66th day, Kurdish politicians and intellectuals are beginning in an indefinite and irreversible hunger strike in Brussels city of Belgium.

As it’s known, 10 thousands political prisoners are on the indefinite and non-alternate hunger strikes in about 72 prisons. Also BDP Parliamentarians are on the indefinite and non-alternate hunger strikes in Diyarbakir. The hunger strike will begin at 14.00 today in Place du Beguinage.

The politicians and intellectuals, who are beginning on an indefinite and non-alternate hunger strike, are as follows; KONGRA GEL (Kurdish People Congress) Head Remzi Kartal, KCK (Union of Communities in
Kurdistan) Executive Council Member Zubeyir Aydar and PJAK (Party of Free Life of Kurdistan) Head Haci Ehmedî, Nizamettin Toguc, Journalist-Wtiter Gunay Aslan, writer Derwich Ferho, Celal Cortai, Lawyer Mahmut Sakar, Artists Seyitxan and Siyamend Moini.
