According to the lawyers’ notes* released by Fırat News Agency (ANF), Öcalan demands Prime
Minister Recep Tayip Erdoğan to take back a couple of threats. He says that since the loss of support from the
USA, the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) turned against the process of a "democratic initiative". Öcalan
sees a solution for the Kurdish question in the democratization of Turkey. He claims freedom of the expression
and the practice of culture for all cultural groups, also the possibilities for networks should be provided.
Furthermore he asks for a democratic constitution. The concept of "self defense forces" created a controversial
discussion, Öcalan puts forwaof rd a form of municipal police force as a principle instead of an army within the
army.
