2019 is the year that the Kurdish Institute celebrates its 40th anniversary. During this Flemish-Kurdish evening – which the Institute is organizing in collaboration with the Flemish People’s Movement – we look back with great pleasure on that long period in which we particularly want to highlight 40 years of Flemish-Kurdish solidarity.

Over the years, the Kurdish Institute has experienced a great deal of sympathy and friendship from the broad Flemish movement. On this occasion, therefore, many prominent Flemish figures are invited who have given a face to Flemish-Kurdish cooperation during those 40 years. Many invited guests and attendees will undoubtedly enjoy ‘a happy reunion’.

It will be an exciting and pleasant evening with informal interviews and a reception with drinks and delicious Kurdish snacks.

Thanks to the dedication and support from the Flemish People’s Movement, the Kurdish Institute receives an amount for the “SOS Rojava & Shengal” campaign.
