The Kurdish Institute has spontaneously joined the recently established “Stop Erdogan Now” coalition.

“Stop Erdogan Now” is an international coalition consisting of partner organisations that unequivocally denounces the aggressive politics of Turkish President Erdogan. It points out the dangers to peace and security that these aggressions entail (for the Middle East, North Africa, the Caucasus and even for Europe).

“Stop Erdogan Now” calls upon the European Union to enact strict sanctions against the Turkish regime.

In the light of the ongoing European summit meetings, addressing (amongst other) the relationship between Europe and Turkey, our coalition is organizing a protest and rally on Tuesday 19 January. As from 2 PM, we gather in front of the buildings of the European Parliament in Brussels (Place du Luxembourg).

The organization obtained full permission for this rally from the Brussels police, albeit that the number of participants is limited to a MAXIMUM of 100 people. All measures regarding the corona situation will be respected. Facemasks will be distributed on the spot.
