29apr19:0021:00Webinar: THE ROJAVA SOCIETY MODEL --- 3rd session: The contribution of minorities

Event Details

In Rojava, the so-called ‘radical democracy‘ reigns. In other words, everyone is able participate!

In essence, it means that the involvement and participation of the entire population is central in the society. The basic democratic principle is translated from below through a stepped system. All Cantons in the autonomous regions are founded on the principle of local self-government. Cantons may freely elect their representatives and representative bodies. The cantons were later reorganized into regions with subordinate cantons/provinces, areas, districts and communes. It important to mention that – on all these levels – councils exist with representatives of the people.

The Kurdish Institute is particularly proud to present two eminent speakers for our third webinar concerning the Rojava society model.

  • Kino Gabriel, Assyrian, spokesperson of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Commander with the Syriac Military Council
  • Muhammad Hassan, Kurd, member of the Administrative Committee for the Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria

Both persons are more than well-placed to testify about the role and participation of the various ethno-cultural and religious groups in the Rojava project.

THIS GUARANTEES UNIQUE TESTIMONIALS, NOT TO BE MISSED!
